THE WELLINGTON BOOT
Saturday, April 15, 2006On arrival I was informed that we were off on a walk followed by a pub lunch. sweet i thought nice liitle walk follwed by food, not exactly the way it ended up tho. not more than five minutes into the walk it started to drizzle, this soon turned to a steady downpour and the walk was long, full of mud and falling and by the end of it i was soaked to the core, covered in mud and seriously cold!
i did however learn a vital lesson or two-always expect rain, it may not appear to be on the way but do not be fooled- also do not leave the house without a pair of these things they call wellington boots, it will save you in many unhappy times :)
so to date i have endured one long rainy downpour, had my first pint (they do not seem to understand the term draught) and had my first pub lunch. so far so good.
cant tell you how much im missing you guys tho, and wish you were here as i wouldnt feel so far from home.
pls comment, email or sms!
thanks guys!
